When did you first encounter the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?

I first encountered the SDGs during my first year at SPU in my macroeconomics class. I was intrigued and decided to take two Spirituality and Business classes that focused on the SDGs and how they could be used in business, 投资, 还有我的信仰.

If you had to pick one SDG goal to be an ambassador for, which one would you pick and why?

I would love to be an ambassador for either SDG 5 of gender equality because as a woman, I want to help make sure other women around the world are getting the equality that they deserve. It breaks my heart to see women being treated as less than, and I want to be part of the change that helps them get the education, 识别, and treatment that they should be getting. I would also like to be an ambassador for is SDG 11 of sustainable cities and communities. I live in the city, and I see so many opportunities for sustainable improvements. It would be great to make a change where I live.

Why are the SDGs important to you?

The SDGs are important to me because, 作为一个基督徒, I believe God gave us this world to take care of, and we are not treating it and caring for it the way we should be. The SDGs provided solutions and help to change the brokenness in this world, and I want to be a part of the positive change.

Why are the SDGs important for business?

Businesses have the ability to make big changes in the environments they are in, whether that be good or bad. By working on incorporating the SDGs businesses can make sure that impact is beneficial to the environment and the people in it.
